At just 5 years old, Kiran Engchuan, better known as “Khunkhao,” has won First Place in the Rock category for ages 3–5 at the INTERNATIONAL MUSIC TALENT COMPETITION 2026 in Tokyo, Japan.
🎸 His journey started at just 2 years old.
When his family took him to watch a live performance in Phuket, Khunkhao was fascinated by the music. He danced in front of the stage, memorized songs and kept asking to hear his favorites again.
Soon, watching was not enough. He began singing and jamming with musicians on stage—with rock music becoming his favorite.
At age 3, he began vocal training at Yamaha Music School Phuket, continuing to perform and develop his skills.
🇹🇭 From Thailand to Tokyo
In May 2026, Khunkhao competed in the Thai national round of the INTERNATIONAL MUSIC TALENT COMPETITION 2026 and won First Place, earning the chance to represent Thailand internationally.
In Tokyo, he performed “Dream On” and once again took First Place in the Rock category for ages 3–5.
🌟 From dancing in front of a stage at two… to becoming a champion on an Asian stage at five.
Khunkhao’s story is a reminder that a passion discovered early, combined with practice and opportunity, can take a child further than anyone imagined.
