The political situation outside Parliament looks set to heat up once again!
Sondhi Limthongkul, founder of the Manager Media Group and host of “Sondhi Talk,” has announced plans to hold a major press conference in early September 2026 to set the date for a public movement and the submission of a letter to the Embassy of Israel in Thailand, before proceeding to Government House.
🔥 Sukhumvit 22 Marked as the Destination
Sondhi outlined a plan to invite members of the public who support the movement to join him in submitting a letter to the Israeli Embassy, expressing their position regarding the conduct of some Israeli tourists in Thailand that has drawn public criticism.
He also stated that the letter to be submitted would be written in Thai in order to explain the reasons and demands in a direct and straightforward manner.
🔥 After the Embassy, the Movement Heads to Government House
After completing the mission at the embassy, Sondhi said he would proceed to Government House to submit a letter to the Prime Minister, calling on the government to urgently address problems involving foreign nationals of all nationalities who violate Thai law or engage in illegal business activities in Thailand.
He also criticized the government’s handling of the issue, particularly its response to what he described as “grey foreign groups” operating in major tourist destinations.
🔥 Looking Back at “Pai” — A Flashpoint That Once Shook Public Attention
One of the issues brought back into focus is the situation involving Israeli tourists in Pai District, Mae Hong Son Province.
On 26 February 2025, Anutin Charnvirakul, who at the time served as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, visited Pai District together with Orna Sagiv, Ambassador of Israel to Thailand, following complaints and reports concerning the conduct of some Israeli tourists.
At the time, Anutin insisted that there must be no intimidation of local residents, no gangsters or mafia, and that authorities must strictly enforce the law.
However, Sondhi has once again raised the issue for criticism, arguing that the problems faced by people in several tourist destinations still require serious action.
🔥 Escalating the Movement Over the Gaza Issue
The latest announcement also follows Sondhi’s stance on the situation in the Gaza Strip, including his campaign encouraging supporters to display the Palestinian flag alongside the Thai national flag as an expression of their position on events in the area.
Sondhi also maintained that such expression constitutes the exercise of rights and freedoms under the law, and that if any dispute arises concerning the display of the flags, he is prepared to fight the matter through legal proceedings.

Attention will now turn to Sondhi’s major announcement in early September to see what date, time, and form of action will be set, after he clearly identified both the Israeli Embassy and Government House as the destinations of the planned movement.
