Thailand is considering a flat 450-baht tourism fee for foreign visitors arriving by air, land and sea, but the measure has not yet taken effect.
The Ministry of Tourism and Sports is preparing a public consultation on the proposal. Revenue would be used to support tourism infrastructure and safety.
Under the current plan, implementation would begin only after publication in the Royal Gazette, with air arrivals covered first and land and sea arrivals later.
