Bangkok, August 7, 2026 (8:06 PM) — St. Gabriel’s School has issued an official statement following widespread public concern over a viral video allegedly showing senior students physically assaulting and threatening a junior student with a firearm outside the school premises.

School Director Brother Dr. Surakit Srisarankulwong stated that the school immediately launched a comprehensive investigation, meeting with students, parents, and all parties involved while coordinating closely with police and relevant authorities.

Following the preliminary investigation, the school has imposed disciplinary measures against the students involved and is fully cooperating with law enforcement regarding possible criminal proceedings.

The school has also strengthened campus security, increased supervision around the school, and introduced additional monitoring measures to prevent similar incidents from occurring.

Support has been provided to the affected student, including psychological counseling, continuous care by teachers and professionals, and adjustments to the learning environment to ensure the student’s well-being.

St. Gabriel’s reaffirmed its zero-tolerance policy toward violence in any form, emphasizing that such behavior contradicts the school’s core values and the principles of becoming a “St. Gabriel Gentleman.”

The school also urged the public to refrain from sharing videos or personal information involving the students, in accordance with Thailand’s Child Protection Act, to prevent further emotional harm.
