Thailand has moved two major southern transport projects from planning toward construction, with contracts signed on August 31 for the Songkhla Lake Bridge and the Koh Lanta Bridge. Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul witnessed the signing ceremony in Hat Yai, Songkhla.
The projects are intended to improve transport links, tourism access and economic connectivity across southern Thailand. The government is also framing the developments as part of a “green transport” approach, with environmental considerations forming part of project implementation.
