12 สิงหาคม 2569 — วันแม่แห่งชาติปีนี้มีความหมายแตกต่างจากทุกปี หลังวันที่ 12 สิงหาคม 2569 เป็นวันแม่แห่งชาติครั้งแรกภายหลังการสวรรคตของ สมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ พระบรมราชชนนีพันปีหลวง เมื่อวันที่ 24 ตุลาคม 2568
คณะรัฐมนตรีมีมติเมื่อวันที่ 21 กรกฎาคม 2569 ให้วันที่ 12 สิงหาคมของทุกปี ยังคงเป็นวันคล้ายวันพระราชสมภพสมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ฯ และวันแม่แห่งชาติ รวมทั้งเป็นวันหยุดราชการประจำปี เพื่อให้ประชาชนได้น้อมรำลึกในพระมหากรุณาธิคุณ โดยในปีนี้มีการกำหนดพระราชพิธีทรงบำเพ็ญพระราชกุศลทักษิณานุปทานเนื่องในวันคล้ายวันพระราชสมภพด้วย
บรรยากาศทั่วประเทศจึงไม่ได้มีเพียงกิจกรรมวันแม่ตามปกติ แต่มีการจัดกิจกรรมจิตอาสาและบำเพ็ญสาธารณประโยชน์เพื่อถวายเป็นพระราชกุศลในหลายพื้นที่ ทั้งการปลูกป่า พัฒนาพื้นที่สาธารณะ ปล่อยพันธุ์สัตว์น้ำ และกิจกรรมสาธารณประโยชน์ต่าง ๆ
ขณะเดียวกัน กระทรวงสาธารณสุขร่วมกับราชวิทยาลัยแพทย์ออร์โธปิดิกส์แห่งประเทศไทยและภาคีเครือข่าย จัดโครงการระดมศัลยแพทย์กระดูกจิตอาสาจากโรงพยาบาลรัฐ 128 แห่งทั่วประเทศ เพื่อผ่าตัดช่วยเหลือผู้ป่วยในวันที่ 12 สิงหาคม ถวายเป็นพระราชกุศลอีกด้วย
วันแม่ปีนี้จึงมีทั้งความหมายของ “แม่” ในระดับครอบครัว และการน้อมรำลึกถึง “แม่ของแผ่นดิน” ผ่านการทำความดีและการช่วยเหลือประชาชน
จากวันที่เคยเป็นวันแห่งการเฉลิมฉลองพระชนมพรรษา วันนี้กลายเป็นอีกหนึ่งวันที่คนไทยร่วมกันรำลึกถึงพระมหากรุณาธิคุณ และเปลี่ยนความรัก ความกตัญญู ให้เป็นการทำประโยชน์แก่สังคม
เพราะความหมายของวันแม่ ไม่ได้อยู่เพียงการมอบดอกไม้ให้แม่ แต่คือการทำให้ความรักและความกตัญญูเกิดขึ้นจริงในชีวิตและสังคม

August 12, 2026 — This year’s National Mother’s Day carries a meaning unlike previous years. August 12, 2026 marks the first Mother’s Day following the passing of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, on October 24, 2025.
On July 21, 2026, the Cabinet resolved that August 12 each year would continue to be observed as the anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit’s birth and National Mother’s Day, as well as an annual public holiday. The designation allows people throughout the country to commemorate Her Majesty’s gracious contributions. This year, a royal merit-making ceremony, including a Thaksinanupadan religious rite, has also been scheduled in observance of the royal birth anniversary.
Across Thailand, Mother’s Day activities therefore extend beyond traditional family celebrations. Numerous areas are organizing volunteer and public-benefit activities dedicated as acts of royal merit, including reforestation, improvement of public spaces, release of aquatic animals, and other community service projects.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Public Health, together with the Royal College of Orthopaedic Surgeons of Thailand and its partner organizations, has organized a nationwide project bringing together volunteer orthopedic surgeons from 128 public hospitals to perform surgeries and provide medical assistance to patients on August 12 as another act of royal merit.
This year’s Mother’s Day therefore carries two intertwined meanings: the meaning of “mother” within the family and the remembrance of the “Mother of the Nation” through good deeds and service to the people.
A day once centered on celebrating a royal birthday has now become another occasion for Thai people to collectively commemorate Her Majesty’s gracious contributions and transform love and gratitude into meaningful contributions to society.
The true meaning of Mother’s Day is therefore not limited to giving flowers to one’s mother. It is about turning love and gratitude into actions that make a real difference in people’s lives and in society.

8月12日是泰国全国“母亲节”。2026年的母亲节具有与往年不同的重要意义，因为这是诗丽吉王太后陛下于2025年10月24日逝世后，泰国迎来的第一个母亲节。
2026年7月21日，泰国内阁决定，每年8月12日仍作为诗丽吉王太后陛下诞辰纪念日和全国母亲节，同时继续列为年度公共假日，让全国民众得以缅怀王太后的恩德。今年还安排举行相关皇家功德仪式，以纪念王太后的诞辰。
因此，今年全国各地的母亲节活动不再只是传统意义上的庆祝活动，许多地方还组织志愿服务和公益活动，以行善积德、服务社会的方式表达缅怀之情，包括植树造林、改善公共空间、放流水生动物，以及各种社区公益活动。
与此同时，泰国公共卫生部联合泰国皇家骨科医师学院及相关合作机构，组织来自全国128家公立医院的骨科志愿医生，于8月12日开展公益手术，为患者提供医疗救治，以此作为献给王太后的功德善举。
因此，今年的母亲节同时承载着两层意义：一方面是家庭中对子女与母亲之间亲情的珍视；另一方面，则是全国民众通过行善和帮助他人，缅怀被尊称为“国母”的诗丽吉王太后陛下。
从过去以庆祝王太后诞辰为重要意义的日子，到如今成为全国人民共同缅怀恩德、传递爱与感恩的日子，母亲节的意义也进一步延伸到社会公益与公共责任。
因为母亲节真正的意义，并不只是向母亲送上一束鲜花，而是让爱与感恩真正落实到生活之中，并转化为对社会有益的实际行动。
