A wave of discussion has spread across social media after two predictions by Asst. Prof. Dr. Boonlert Pairin, originally published on July 16 and August 7, 2026, were brought back into the spotlight and viewed as parts of a single narrative.
The renewed attention followed a mass shooting in Nonthaburi in which reports said eight people were killed and 15 others injured.
At the center of the discussion is the “number 8,” which Boonlert interpreted through astrology and numerology before connecting it with his broader predictions concerning what he described as a “troubled government” and an eventual transition toward the “Age of the Civilized.”
On July 16, 2026, Boonlert discussed Thailand’s political situation and said that despite what he described as an ominous or troubled government, Thailand would not decline to the point of national collapse.
