A fire broke out at Khlong Thom Center on Worachak Road, Pom Prap Sattru Phai, Bangkok, at around 8:42 PM on August 28, 2026, according to the Rama 199 Emergency Radio Center.
Initial reports indicated that the fire started on the first floor, an area occupied by shops. Heavy black smoke was seen rising above the building as firefighters moved to contain the blaze.
Fire and Rescue Station crews from Suan Mali, supported by teams from Phaya Thai, Banthat Thong, Bang Rak, Phu Khao Thong, Sam Sen, Phahon Yothin, Bang Pho and Sutthisan, were deployed to the scene.
Reports during the incident said the fire was burning intensely and parts of the building structure had begun to collapse. Firefighters continued intensive water-spraying operations to prevent further spread.
Khlong Thom Center is a long-established commercial area in Bangkok, known for electronics, electrical appliances, tools and related products.
